^i^ ~ An angel in the book of life wrote down our daughters birth and whispered as she closed the
book... "too beautiful for earth" ~ ^i^

Our precious Emma was born sleeping on September 11th 2007 at 5.35pm when i was 17weeks + 2days
pregnant.

I went to the Maternity unit with severe tummy pains and a scan showed our baby to be happy and
healthy with a very strong heartbeat and Emma gave us a wave and kicked Mummy. I had felt movement
for the first time 2 days previous but this was to be my first and last tummy kick and i was so
happy that Daddy saw it too on the screen.

I was diagnosed with a severe UTI given painkillers and anti biotics the pains eased and i was
allowed home at 12.30pm.

As soon as we got home i started to bleed heavily i was in a terrible panic and kept saying please
don't let me lose our baby. I had had a previous miscarriage in February 06 at 7wks+3days and i knew
all too well the heartbreak of losing a much loved and wanted baby.

At the hospital i already knew it was too late I was examined and we were told my cervix was
dilating and there was nothing that they could do to save Emma.

Simon and i just held onto each other and cried and cried.

I delivered Emma at 5.35pm on September 11th 2007 and she was so beautiful and at peace.

We spent 2 hours with Emma, gave her kisses and the hospital gave us hand and footprints and took 2
photographs of her for us.

Emma was cremated and her ashes are scattered with my Dad and my Grandma.

Emma will forever live on in our hearts and in the hearts of her family

There will always be a huge hole in our family where Emma should be and though one day we will be
reunited we will never stop missing and loving our Angel Emma.

Ask My Mum How She Is...

My Mum, she tells a lot of lies,
She never did before.
But from now until she dies,
She'll tell a whole lot more.

Ask my Mum how she is
And because she can't explain,
She will tell a little lie
Because she can't describe the pain.

Ask my Mum how she is,
She'll say "I'm alright."
If that's the truth, then tell me,
why does she cry each night ?

Ask my Mum how she is,
She seems to cope so well.
She didn't have a choice you see,
Nor the strength to yell.

Ask my Mum how she is,
"I'm fine, I'm well, I'm coping."
For God's sake Mum, just tell the truth,
Just say your heart is broken.

She'll love me all her life,
I loved her all of mine.
But if you ask her how she is,
She'll lie and say she's fine.

I am Here in Heaven.
I cannot hug her from here.
If she lies to you don't listen,
Hug her and hold her near.

On the day we meet again,
We'll smile and I'll be bold.
I'll say, "You're lucky to get in here, Mum,
With all the lies you told!"

xxxxWe are connected, my child and I,
by an invisible cord not seen by the eye.
It’s not like the cord that connects us at birth,
this cord can’t be seen by any on earth.
This cord does its work right from the start,
it binds us together, attached by the heart
I know that it’s there, though no one can see
this invisible cord, from my child to me.
The strength of this cord,
it’s hard to describe,
it can’t be destroyed, it can’t be denied.
It’s stronger than any cord man could create;
it withstands the test, can hold any weight.
And though you are gone and you’re not here with me,
the cord is still there though no one can see.
It pulls at my heart, I am bruised, I am sore,
but this cord is my lifeline as never before.
I’m thankful that God connects us this way,
a mother and child…Death can’t take it away

♥ If I could have one wish ♥

♥ If i could wish upon a star ♥
♥ I would wish for you back here ♥
♥ I know you're happy where you are ♥
♥ But i miss you and want you near ♥

♥ Although i see you everyday ♥
♥ In my thoughts and in my dreams ♥
♥ I miss you more than words can say ♥
♥ It just gets worse, it seems ♥

♥ I try to be strong for others around ♥
♥ But all i want to do is cry ♥
♥ I just sit for hours by myself ♥
♥ And ask the question 'Why'? ♥

♥ It's the strongest pain I've ever felt ♥
♥ I don't think I could describe it ♥
♥ Although I try, I do my best ♥
♥ I don't think that I can hide it ♥

♥ My life will never be the same ♥
♥ That's why it's hard to bear ♥
♥ Because since the day you left us ♥
♥ I think that life's not fair ♥

♥ Some things seem not to matter now ♥
♥ Even things that mattered before ♥
♥ You have no idea what I would give up ♥
♥ To make this pain less sore ♥

♥ People say we'll meet again ♥
♥ And yeah I know that's true ♥
♥ But I wish it didn't have to be this way ♥
♥ Because you know how much I miss you ♥

♥ I love you with all my heart and soul ♥
♥ And there's one thing you need to know ♥
♥ There's not one person in the human race ♥
♥ That could ever take your place ♥

O precious, tiny, sweet little one
You will always be to me.
So perfect, pure, and innocent
Just as you were meant to be.
We dreamed of you and of your life
And all that it would be.
We waited and longed for you to come.
And join our family.
We never had the chance to play,
To laugh, to rock, to wiggle.
We long to hold you, touch you now
And listen to you giggle.
I'll always be your mother,
He'll always be your dad.
You will always be our child,
The child that we had.
But now you're gone...but yet you're here
We'll sense you everywhere.
You are our sorrow and our joy,
There's love in every tear.
Just know our love goes deep and strong
We'll forget you never--
The child we had, but never had
And yet will have forever!

Don't cry for me Daddy
I am right here
Although you can't see me
I see your tears
I visit you often
Go to work with you each day
And when it's time to close your eyes
On your pillows where I lay
I hold your hand and stroke your hair
And whisper in your ear
If you're sad today Daddy
Remember I am here
God took me home
This we know is true
But you will always be my Daddy
Even though I'm not with you
I am Daddy's little girl
We will never be apart
For every time you think of me
Please know I'm in your heart.
I Love you Daddy!

A Pair of Shoes.

I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I do not think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
They are looks of sympathy.
I can tell in others eyes that they are glad they are my shoes and not theirs.
They never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these shoes you must walk in them.
But, once you put them on, you can never take them off.
I now realize that I am not the only one who wears these shoes.
There are many pairs in this world.
Some woman are like me and ache daily as they try and walk in them.
Some have learned how to walk in them so they don't hurt quite as much.
Some have worn the shoes so long that days will go by before they think about how much they hurt.
No woman deserves to wear these shoes.
Yet, because of these shoes I am a stronger woman.
These shoes have given me the strength to face anything.
They have made me who I am.
I will forever walk in the shoes of a woman who has lost a child.
